Tours in Hurghada
After days spent exploring ancient temples and sailing the Nile, Hurghada offers a tranquil conclusion on the Red Sea coast. We integrate a stay in this coastal town at the end of our longer itineraries, giving you time to unwind on sandy shores or swim among vibrant coral reefs before flying home.

An Egyptian holiday is often defined by early mornings, vast archaeological sites, and deep dives into antiquity. While exploring Luxor or Aswan is deeply rewarding, it can also be tiring. Transitioning to the Red Sea coast allows you to process the historical wonders you have seen while enjoying some well-deserved rest. Hurghada sits on the eastern coast of Egypt, bordered by the clear waters of the Red Sea. It is an ideal setting to slow down, read a book on the beach, and enjoy the warm climate before your return journey.
Our packages finishing on the Red Sea
We do not offer standalone Hurghada beach holidays. Instead, we feature Hurghada as the concluding chapter of several Egypt tour packages. After your historical touring, we arrange your transfer to the coast for your leisure days.
Our 7-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise & Hurghada itinerary packs the essentials of Egypt into one week. Following your time in Cairo and a luxurious sailing experience down the Nile, a private car takes you from Aswan across the desert to Hurghada. You spend one night in a resort with breakfast included, with free time by the sea before your transfer to the airport.
The 12-Day Egypt Classic Tour offers a deeper exploration of the country. On your final day, a private vehicle brings you from Luxor to Hurghada, where the guided portion of your tour concludes. Please note that accommodation in Hurghada is not included in this package, giving you the flexibility to choose your own hotel or ask us to arrange an extension.
For a comprehensive experience, the 14-Day Egypt Discovery: Pyramids, Desert & Nile Cruise ends with a 300-kilometre transfer from Luxor to Hurghada. You then have two completely free days on the coast to swim or explore the marine life. Similar to the 12-day tour, the Hurghada accommodation is not included, allowing you to tailor this final segment to your preferences.
Optional activities on the water
Your time in Hurghada is unstructured and unguided. If you prefer to stay active, the Red Sea is renowned for its marine biodiversity. Snorkelling and scuba diving are the primary draws, with numerous local dive centres offering boat trips to nearby coral reefs, including the Giftun Islands. For those who prefer to stay on land, you might consider an optional quad-bike safari into the rugged Red Sea hills. These activities are not included in our Nile cruise tours or standard packages, but they can be easily booked locally or requested as optional extras.
Weather and water conditions
The Red Sea coast enjoys a desert climate, meaning the sea remains warm enough for swimming for most of the year. The summer months are intensely hot, making the sea a welcome relief, while winter days are comfortably mild. You can expect clear skies and very little rainfall regardless of when you choose to travel.
Travelling to and from the coast
Getting to Hurghada is straightforward. We provide a private vehicle transfer from either Luxor or Aswan, driving across the Eastern Desert directly to your coastal destination. When it is time to leave, Hurghada International Airport connects to Cairo with frequent domestic flights, as well as offering direct routes to various European cities.
